University College scored particularly well in the areas of student engagement best practices, retention, class size, and student services and technology. The online bachelor’s rankings evaluate program quality and how programs specifically appeal to adults aged 25 and older, with evaluative factors such as course delivery, teaching effectiveness, and time to completion. University College ranks No. 48 in the 2017 rankings. In the online bachelor’s category alone, more than 300 schools submitted data to be considered in the rankings. “Students in our bachelor’s program find the flexibility crucial to their success,†said John Hill, academic director for the Bachelor of Arts Completion Program. “That in addition to the career-focused, practice-based courses they take with faculty who bring real-world experience to the classroom.†The information technology graduate program earned a No. 1 ranking in the categories of mean class size, services made available remotely to distance learners, and technologies made available remotely to distance learners.
